Diana Hamilton has said her vibrant, talkative nature shapes nearly everything about her, from how she creates music to how she engages with people.

Speaking on Hitz FM, the Ghanaian gospel singer playfully leaned into her own personality, describing herself as a classic sanguine who thrives on energy and conversation.

Hamilton told listeners that she sees herself as overwhelmingly sanguine, estimating her temperament at about 90 percent. She joked that her sociability runs so deep she could hold a conversation with anything.

“I am your classic sanguine. I am a helpless sanguine, and I think I have a male side that helps me create. Maybe I am 90% sanguine, I can talk to a ghost unless I don’t want to talk to you. You know, sanguine, we talk. The sanguine are the life of the party,” she said.

Her love for communication, she added, once had her dreaming of a very different career. Hamilton revealed that she seriously considered becoming a journalist and newscaster because of how much she enjoyed interacting with people. “That is why I wanted to become a journalist, a newscaster; I was serious,” she added.

A sanguine personality is typically associated with warmth, enthusiasm, and a strong social presence. People with this temperament often energise a room, initiate conversations with ease, and bring humour and positivity into their environments. They are naturally expressive and often take on the role of social connector.

Such traits, Hamilton observed, play a meaningful role in her artistic life, influencing how she communicates on and off stage and shaping the lively persona her fans recognise.
