Two supporters of Aduana FC have died after an accident involving a tricycle in Aboabo, Kumasi, on Sunday evening, following the club’s 1-1 draw with Asante Kotoko.

The incident occurred when the tricycle transporting the fans veered off the road and overturned, resulting in the fatal crash.

In a statement, Aduana FC confirmed the loss and noted that two other supporters are receiving treatment. “We regret to announce that two of the fans have lost their lives and two others are currently on admission… We wish the bereaved families strength and empathy, and those on admission a speedy recovery,” the club said.

Reports indicate that three additional supporters are in critical condition at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.

The fans had travelled to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to support midfielder Seidu Saana, who featured in Aduana’s draw with Kotoko.

The club says it remains in touch with the affected families and will issue further updates as the situation unfolds.
