    Ghanaian kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah Lil win for his role in the movie “Captain Ibrahim Troare”, has won Best Actor for the Ghana-Nigeria category at the 10th edition of the Sotigui awards which took place on the 15th November 2025 in Burkina Faso.

    The category featured two Nigerian actors, Wole Ojo for his movie “The man died” and Nnamdi Agbo for his movie “Hijack 93”.

    LilWin’s Ibrahim Traoré movie bags nomination at New Zealand Film Festival

    This award recognizes outstanding achievements in the African film industry, and Lil Win’s win is a testament to his hard work and dedication to his craft

    Directed by Jackson K Bentum, the “Captain Ibrahim Troare” movie is about the life of Captain Ibrahim Traore, the President of Burkina Faso, who rose to power at 34 years old after leading a coup in September 2022.

    The film portrays him as a symbol of youth leadership, African pride, and resistance to foreign control.
