A heartbreaking moment unfolded when Ghanaian entrepreneur and CEO of Rigworld Solutions, Kofi Amoa-Abban, broke down in tears while reading a tribute to his late mother, Leticia Amoa-Abban.

In videos shared on social media from her funeral on October 26, 2024, Kofi was visibly emotional as he struggled to read his tribute, receiving comfort from family members who stood beside him at the pulpit.

Despite his grief, he shared a heartfelt tribute, revealing that the initial capital for his multi-million dollar company, Rigworld Solutions, came from a GH₵250 loan provided by his mother.

He recounted how he approached her with just 50 cedis and a dream of starting his own business. He said despite her limited resources, she managed to lend him the necessary funds, which allowed him to incorporate Rigworld, now a significant enterprise with numerous subsidiaries.

The funeral, held in Tema, attracted a large gathering, including prominent figures such as journalist Gifty Anti, NPP Vice Presidential candidate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), and Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, reflecting the deep impact Leticia Amoa-Abban had on her community.

Leticia Amoa-Abban passed away on September 29, 2024, after a brief illness.
