Media personality MzGee has raised serious concerns about the role of parents and the management of the sports academy linked to the death of young footballer Ransford, whose story has sparked the nationwide campaign #JusticeForRansford.

Speaking on her Gee O’Clock show, MzGee questioned why the coach accused of sexually assaulting Ransford had reportedly returned to work, coaching other young players, even as investigations continued. She described the development as troubling and symptomatic of institutional neglect.

“How do you keep a man who is alleged to have molested children under your care to still be with children?” she asked. “Do you expect that he won’t molest them again, or that another case won’t happen? Or is he the best you can find on the market?”

MzGee also challenged parents whose children remain at the academy to reconsider their decisions, expressing disbelief that families would continue to entrust their wards to an environment under such scrutiny.

“Who are the parents of these young boys who still have their children there?” she questioned. “If I hear something like this has happened in one place, that’s how I’ll move my child and my entire family from that place. Why have the parents of the other boys not acted?”

The broadcaster further criticized the sports academy’s management for remaining silent in the wake of the controversy, insisting that transparency and accountability are essential in a matter of this nature.

“The management of the sports academy — how do you not even let the public know what is happening?” she asked. “If it’s true that this coach returned to work, then it is unfair. When we are treating other people’s children in a certain way, let’s think of our own.”

MzGee, who spoke with visible emotion, said the case has left her deeply unsettled as a mother and a citizen, particularly given the frequency of abuse cases involving minors across the country.
