A newborn who went missing from the Agogo Presbyterian Hospital in the Ashanti Region has been found safe and in good health.

The mother, Felicia Obenewaa, said police contacted her after a woman brought the baby to the station.
According to the post, “The woman reportedly told the police that an unknown person had handed her the baby for temporary care but never returned to reclaim the child.”
Reports indicate that Obenewaa had visited the hospital for a postnatal review when the incident occurred.

While at the facility, a young woman approached her, struck up a conversation, and offered assistance.
She briefly left her baby in the woman’s care to use the restroom, only to return and find both the stranger and her child missing.
Hospital officials later confirmed that CCTV footage captured the suspect leaving the hospital with the baby.
