Ghanaian gospel musician Ceccy Twum has ruled out allowing a condom brand to sponsor her gospel music events, stating that her ministry’s message of abstinence is incompatible with the brand’s product.

In an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM on November 12, 2025, Twum emphasised that while she would appreciate money from sponsors for her events, her platform must remain aligned with her gospel mission.

“Normally, I can’t do an advert for a condom brand. My ministry preaches abstinence. So, me in an ad telling you to buy condoms, what are you going to use them for?” she asked.

Ceccy Twum acknowledged that although some married couples still use condoms, the majority of patrons are unmarried.

Thus, she said promoting a condom brand would indirectly promote fornication.

“Me advertising or allowing a condom company to sponsor my show would indirectly be promoting casual sex among the youth.

“Although some married couples use condoms, how many compared to the greater majority? Let’s be realistic. Most married couples would rather use other family planning methods,” she noted.

Her position adds to ongoing conversations within the gospel music industry around commercial partnerships, brand alignments, and the balancing of ministry principles with funding and sponsorship opportunities.
