Legendary Highlife musician Kaakyire Kwame Appiah has revealed that he is the father of eighteen children with nine different women, adding that he has no reason to hide it.

In an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM on November 10, 2025, the veteran musician acknowledged that his revelation might draw public criticism but insisted there is nothing wrong with being open about his family.

Kaakyire Kwame Appiah noted that his youngest child is just four months old, describing his large family as a blessing from God. He explained that while some people struggle to have even one child, he feels fortunate to have been blessed with many.

“I have 18 children with nine different women. I know people will bash me, but honestly, what do you gain by hiding something that’s already there? All my children know each other. When you see how united they are, you’d even think they came from one woman. The youngest is four months old,” he said.

The Highlife legend added that he remains a strong and active man, and if more opportunities come his way, he would not mind having more children.

“I wanted 25 children. If it should happen that way, I would be very excited,” he remarked.

According to Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, despite the size of his family, all his children are united and maintain close relationships, a fact that often surprises people who assume they share the same mother.
