Controversial UK-based Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, founder of SPAC Nation, has sparked public debate online after revealing that while God healed him from cancer, money played a major role in his recovery.

Speaking during a recent sermon on purpose and destiny, Pastor Adegboyega emphasized that spirituality alone is not enough to fulfill God’s purpose in life, arguing that financial resources are equally vital to achieving divine goals.
The pastor, known for his luxury lifestyle and controversial views on prosperity, recounted how his wealth influenced the speed of his medical treatment while battling cancer.
“God isn’t about religion, Christianity, or labels. To fulfill God’s purpose, money is essential. God helped me survive cancer, but yes, money did the madness. It was money that put me as the number one priority. Money is my servant. Money was the guy that told the hospital, You’re not going to keep this guy on the waiting list for surgery for three months. Money told them, Number one priority. It was money that spoke.” He said
Adegboyega’s remarks have since reignited discussions about the relationship between faith and wealth, with some applauding his honesty and others criticising what they see as the commercialization of Christianity.
Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, whose ministry often attracts both celebrities and young professionals, has long maintained that prosperity and faith are inseparable, arguing that believers should learn to use money as a tool rather than view it as evil.
