A hotel cleaner caused a wave of online disgust after he was captured dipping guests’ bedsheets into a hot tub, ostensibly to clean them.
The footage was shot by horrified onlooker Alex Kenmille at the Expressway Suites hotel at 4303 17th Ave S in Fargo, North Dakota.
‘Tell me why we let the kids go swimming and as we were getting ready to leave we saw this worker throwing sheets in the hot tub they had shut down,’ she wrote.
‘I was sooooo shocked!!’ she added. ‘Is that where they wash the laundry????’
Kenmille punctuated her post with three crying with laughter emojis, but the reactions in the comments were much less amused.
One user posted: ‘Good post but not good on this whole s***show’
Another added: ‘This [is] so sad.’
A third simply wrote: ‘Omg!!!!!!’
A hotel worker at the Expressway Suites hotel in Fargo, North Dakota, was captured using a hot tub to clean bedsheets
The man allegedly mixed the sheets with a stick after dumping them into the tub, just feet away from where kids were swimming in a hotel pool
In the four-second clip, a male hotel worker can be seen moving white sheets from a housekeeping cart to soak them in the hot tub already filled with bedding.
Kids are swimming and playing in a hotel pool as the worker continues tossing sheets in.
‘At first, I thought maybe the hot tub was down, the drain was broken, they couldn’t get it, they were trying to soak up the water,’ Kenmille told Valley News Live.
‘But then he started adding more in there and I was like, ‘What is going on?’
She claimed the man mixed the sheets with a stick after dumping them into the tub.
Kenmille was so concerned that she reached out to hotel management.
‘That’s disgusting, like are you kidding?’ she added. ‘Are we sleeping on those sheets?’

Amy Vandal, who was also staying at the Fargo hotel, said she was ‘still in shock’ at what she saw
Amy Vandal, who was also staying at the Expressway Suites in Fargo, was outraged at the hotel’s apparent cleaning protocol.
She said on Facebook: ‘Some people say that’s sanitary, but I don’t believe it is – and to top it off, there [were] no warning signs around that area if you see in the video.’
Vandal claimed Wednesday that the hotel’s manager called her to say that the city had approved placing bedsheets in the hot tub to sanitize them.
‘That’s not right,’ she added. ‘I’m still in shock. Like, really? This is really what they do? I don’t know. It’s so crazy.’
Vandal said the hotel had offered her a reimbursement, but she was not looking for that ‘at all.’
An unnamed Expressway Suites employee told Valley News Live that the bedsheets were placed into the hot tub to remove ‘tiny, little stains.’
A spokesperson for Fargo Cass Public Health told the Daily Mail an inspection had taken place at Expressway Suites on Friday morning
‘The hot tub is drained. It is really heavily cleaned with a huge deep cleaner,’ the employee added.
Hotel management reportedly said the employee seen in the video was ‘talked to’ about cleaning sheets in the hot tub in front of guests.
The hotel was also checking with Fargo’s health department to see if this cleaning procedure was approved.
A spokesperson for Fargo Cass Public Health told the Daily Mail an inspection had taken place at Expressway Suites on Friday morning but did not have more details immediately available.
The Daily Mail reached out to Kenmille, Vandal, Fargo Cass Public Health’s environmental health division and Expressway Suites management for further comment.
