Bechem United midfielder Frank Amankwah has appealed to supporters to continue backing the team amid their poor run in the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

The midfielder put up a top performance for the Hunters last weekend when they drew goalless with Nations FC in Week 8.

Speaking in a post-match interview after receiving the Man of the Match award, Amankwah assured fans that players are determined to turn things around.

He acknowledged that the team is in a difficult place but said everyone is optimistic about change as the season progresses.

“What I want to tell the fans is that it’s not too late for us to turn things around. We are pleading with them to continue supporting us. We are confident that before the season ends, things will get better,” Frank Amankwah said.

Bechem United find themselves in the relegation zone after eight matchdays in the new Ghana Premier League season.

The Hunters have only managed one win since the campaign commenced, drawing three and losing the other four.

The series of bad results has prompted the management to dismiss head coach Desmond-Issah Botchway.

The club has now appointed Kobina Amissah to take charge of the team, hoping to turn things around.
