The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the interim forfeiture of a nightclub owned by popular socialite and entertainer, Pretty Mike, over alleged involvement in drug storage and distribution.

Justice Musa Kakaki granted the order on Tuesday following an ex parte application filed by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), represented by its counsel, Mr. Buhari Abdulahi.

The property, known as Proxy Lagos Night Club and located at No. 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, was alleged to have been used for storing and distributing 169 cylinders (384.662 kilograms) of nitrous oxide, popularly known as laughing gas, and 200 grams of cannabis sativa.

According to court documents, the NDLEA identified the nightclub’s owner, Mike Nwalie (aka Pretty Mike), and Joachim Hillary, an employee, as the key suspects allegedly using the premises as a base for a planned drug party.

In an affidavit deposed to by Deputy Commander of Narcotics, Nasiru Garba Bungudu, the agency said it acted on credible intelligence received in October 2025, which led to a midnight raid on October 26, 2025.

During the operation, operatives reportedly arrested over 200 persons and recovered the banned substances.

Mr. Abdulahi told the court that the interim forfeiture was necessary to preserve the property, being an alleged instrumentality of crime under the NDLEA Act, pending the conclusion of investigations.

He also sought a suspension of all activities at the nightclub.

After reviewing the motion and supporting evidence, Justice Kakaki ordered the interim forfeiture of Proxy Lagos Night Club to the Federal Government and directed that the premises remain closed until investigations are concluded.

The case has been adjourned until January 28, 2026, for further hearing.
