A TikTok user, @brovneze posits that passengers sitting beside a tricycle rider ought to be paying a lesser amount than the usual fare charge.

This is due to the discomfort and risk that is tied with sitting in such place. It was even said only the driver was designed to have the seat for himself.

But the need for extra income and greediness have made having a sitter in front the norm for tricycle rides in Nigeria.

Some people however claim to like the front seat better than the others. Read some of the comments:

Justanitæ: Injustice: any small shake and you are the first to fall. Plus, I am sharing my seat with the driver’s holding rod to protect myself, and when it’s raining—oh no!

user2610750564128: Abi oo. I dont even try to sit in the front seat. How can we pay the same when i will be sitting with only half of my nyash

adorable rosey: I used to think it was unfair, all of a sudden i started enjoying sitting in the front. If i can’t sit in the front then am not entering 😂
