    The 2025 University of Ghana Corporate Tennis Championship opened with a curtain-raiser match featuring Vice Chancellor Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, who teamed up with the President of the Ghana Tennis Federation, Joshua Duah, to face Miss Maame Araba Amfo and Professor Richmond Nii Okai Aryeetey, the Collaborative Lead of UG Nkabom.

    The exhibition match was played as a one-set contest, ending 6–2 in favor of Team VC (Vice Chancellor), who thrilled spectators with their energy and performance on the court.

    The tournament delivered exciting action on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the University of Ghana Tennis Court, bringing together top corporate institutions for a day of fun, fitness, and networking.

    Participating companies included the Volta River Authority (VRA), Stanbic Bank PLC, GOIL, and the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), all displaying great teamwork and enthusiasm throughout the event.

    The tournament forms part of the Ghana Tennis Federation’s efforts to promote the sport across the country, especially among corporate institutions and other sectors.

    The federation president noted that his organization aims to host similar events in the future, including among educational institutions and other spheres.

    Professor Nana Aba has been a staunch supporter of tennis and remains committed to promoting the sport at the University of Ghana.
