Spanish footballer, Lamine Yamal will be monitored closely by Barcelona regarding interviews and social media posts.

The player has come under intense scrutiny following his controversial remarks ahead of Barcelona’s 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid in the La Liga.

Lamine Yamal was confronted by Real Madrid players, who were infuriated by his comment that they “steal and complain a lot.”

In response to the controversy, Barcelona officials are reportedly disappointed with the youngster’s comments on social media which triggered the unnecessary criticism and tension.

As a result, the Catalan club and Yamal’s agent, Jorge Mendes, will now closely monitor his social media activity and interviews to prevent reckless statements or excessive exposure of his private life.

They believe that some of his remarks and posts reflect immaturity, providing rivals with extra motivation to play against him.

According to Spanish media outlet Marca, the club, in collaboration with his agent, has canceled Yamal’s scheduled interview with popular French streamer AmineMaTue.

This move aims to reduce the noise surrounding the club and allow Yamal to fully recover from his injury, regain match fitness, and focus solely on football.
