Saudi Arabia has unveiled plans to build the world’s first Sky Stadium, named ‘NEOM,’ ahead of the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

The stadium is expected to have a seating capacity of 46,000 spectators to accommodate fans and officials involved in the matches.

Reports indicate that the stadium will be suspended 1,150 feet above the ground and powered by wind and solar energy instead of conventional electricity.

A promotional video showcases the stadium perched atop a skyscraper, illuminated by vibrant lights surrounding the structure.

Construction of the Sky Stadium is expected to begin in 2027, with completion anticipated by 2032, assuming all goes according to plan.

Saudi Arabia has submitted a bid to host the 2034 World Cup, which will feature 48 countries competing for football’s most prestigious trophy.

The bid has been accepted and acknowledged by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA), with formal steps yet to be taken to finalise the host nation.
