The head coach of Swedru All Blacks, Ahmed Fathi, has issued an apology to the club’s fans following his side’s 1-0 loss to Medeama SC in the Ghana Premier League on October 26, 2025.

He urged supporters to remain steadfast as the team navigates a challenging period, while he works to address the squad’s issues.

Speaking in an interview with the club’s media team, the Egyptian tactician accepted responsibility for the poor performance and promised improvements going forward.

“I came here today to tell my players that I am really proud of every one of them. What they did today was a great effort. They are following my structure 100%. I hope in the next games we will do well. Actually, maybe the problem is me. I have to solve my programs.

“Thank you, and I’m very sorry to the fans for this result. I hope they always come and support us because they are the spirit of this team. Without them, we cannot move forward. I hope our team will bounce back after this game and win again at home. We have to prepare ourselves, solve our problems, and move on,” Fathi said.

Deputy captain Solomon Ayikabia also expressed disappointment, stating: “We are not happy with the result, and neither are our supporters back home. People expect a lot from us. Some may say we are more comfortable at home. We are hoping to improve and gain more experience in the remaining games. We are a team, and it’s on all of us. We all train on the same page. He [Fathi] teaches us what he wants us to do.”

After seven matches played, the Swedru-based club has accumulated six points and currently sits 13th on the league table.

The team will host Hearts of Lions at the Swedru Stadium on November 2, 2025, where they will be aiming to secure a much-needed win.
