Kumchacha is a Ghanaian prophet Kumchacha is a Ghanaian prophet

Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha, has once again made another bold statement concerning marriage.

In a discussion on United Showbiz on October 26, 2025, Prophet Kumchacha expressed his lack of confidence in an ordained marriage.

He argued that monogamous marriage, which allows couples to stay with only one partner, is not found in the Bible.

According to him, that form of marriage was imposed on Africans and does not reflect their culture, adding that he prefers to settle with more than one wife.

“I have said this before, I support a man who marries two wives. Which pastor can quote a scripture from Genesis to Revelation to tell me that it is a sin to marry more than one wife? There is no scripture like that,” he said.

Prophet Kumchacha additionally argued that the ordinance of matrimony is not from God; hence, he would not undergo such a marriage if he decided to settle down.

According to him, about 80% of couples who married by adopting the ‘white man’s style’ of marriage are suffering in their unions.

“There is nothing like a wedding in the Bible, and there is no way I would do a wedding because it is not in the Bible. If you check the statistics well, you’ll see that about 80% of men who marry using the white man’s style are on drugs, praying for healing.

Also, out of 200 men, about 185 are having extramarital affairs,” he added.
