    Accra Hearts of Oak have been held to a 2-2 draw by defending champions Bibiani Gold Stars on matchday 7 of the ongoing 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League season on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

    The Phobians who came into the game on the back of an impressive defensive record conceded twice as they fought back to snatch a point from the game despite taking the lead.

    Hearts of Oak took the lead in the game at the Accra Sports Stadium through Mawuli Wayo in the 41st minute.

    Bibiani Gold Stars responded in the early minutes of the second half as striker Atta Kumi scored two goals within the space of 10 minutes to put his team ahead in the game.

    The Phobians after going down fought back with determination and finally got the equalizer through George Paaku in the 70th minute.

    Accra Hearts of Oak after getting the equalizer pushed for the winner but couldn’t breach the defense of Gold Stars for the third time in the game.

    The Phobians have moved to the 6th position while Gold Stars now occupy the 4th position on the Ghana Premier League table despite having the same points (13) with Accra Hearts of Oak.
