Black Stars winger, Kamaldeen Sulemana has shared a message about patriotism on his Instagram page following the Black Stars’ qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
He referenced the national pledge, which emphasises the importance of upholding the values of the country at all times.
The Atalanta forward called on God to strengthen him and all those who sacrificed for the nation during the qualifiers.

“We pledge ourselves in all things to uphold and defend the good name of Ghana. So help us God,” Sulemana wrote on his Instagram page, accompanied by pictures of Black Stars players celebrating their qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
However, the post has sparked mixed reactions, as it came at a time when discussions about Callum Hudson-Odoi and Eddie Nketiah switching their allegiance to join the Black Stars were ongoing.
Some Ghanaians expressed concern that the two players have not shown enough commitment, having previously rejected opportunities to play for the national team.
Sulemana recently ended his goal drought for the Black Stars during the team’s 5-0 victory over the Central African Republic in the World Cup qualifiers.
