Popular Nigerian actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington has opened up about a life-threatening experience she faced earlier this year while in the United Kingdom.

In an Instagram post, the actress revealed that she underwent an emergency surgery in June, a traumatic event that she says could have cost her life.

Adesua, who was in the UK at the time with her husband, Banky W, and their sons, explained that the family had travelled for ministry work, with speaking engagements scheduled in London and Manchester.

Though she chose not to share the specifics of what happened, the actress emphasized the profound emotional and spiritual impact the ordeal had on her.

She described the experience as life-changing, not because of the trauma itself, but because of how it deepened her faith.

The actress credited her survival and healing to divine intervention, stating that she now feels an even stronger connection to her faith.

While she hinted that she may or may not share the finer details of the event in the future, she made her message clear, asking people never to take life for granted.

“I’m here to remind you guys to stop and smell the flowers. Go about your day with an awareness of how much of a blessing it is that you’re still here. Be present throughout your day. Look for the good things in each day, no matter how small…Let’s be softer, kinder, gentler, forgiving, patient, loving, peaceful… I would never take another day for granted. Neither should you.” She wrote

The actress ended her message by encouraging her followers to embrace softness, kindness, and gratitude in their everyday lives.
