In a grand ceremony held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on October 10, 2025, Galahad Alex Andoh, the noble Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Deposit Protection Corporation (GDPC), was among over 800 distinguished individuals called to the Bar.

This remarkable achievement marks a significant career milestone for Andoh, further solidifying his expertise in both law and finance, and underscoring his dedication to his profession.

As the CEO of GDPC, Andoh plays a crucial role in overseeing the corporation’s operational and financial trajectory, leveraging his unique blend of financial acumen and legal insight to advance the organization’s mission of safeguarding depositors’ funds and bolstering public confidence in the financial sector.

Indeed, with a wealth of experience spanning within corridors of Ghana and beyond, Andoh brings a distinguished track record of leadership and expertise to his role. Prior to assuming his current position in March 2025, he worked as a Financial Consultant and Legal Administrator at Rams Engineering Limited in the UK on a remote Kit, where he drafted international and contractual agreements.

His tenure as Head of Administration at Halifax Asset Management from 2017 to 2025 saw him masterfully manage daily operations and support investment and fund management activities.

Andoh’s academic credentials include a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Cape Coast and a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration from the University of Ghana, Legon. He is also a certified lawyer from the Ghana School of Law and a GES-certified professional tutor.

Currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Development Finance from the University of Ghana, Legon, Andoh’s commitment to continuous professional development is evident.

Gleefully, with his appointment, Andoh is set to drive GDPC toward greater resilience and regional influence within the global deposit insurance community, leveraging his expertise in financial consultancy, legal administration, and policy management to steer the corporation toward excellence.
