A Virgin Australia flight attendant has been heaped with praise after she was filmed helping a stressed mother with her baby.
Passengers on board a flight from the Gold Coast to Sydney on Monday watched the heartwarming moment the flight attendant offered to help the stressed mother.
Jack Brubaker, owner of Fresh Filters Sydney, caught the interaction on video.
‘During the pre-flight instruction there was a mother who had a few kids and was struggling with a crying baby,’ Mr Brubaker told Daily Mail.
‘The flight hostess walked past a first time and she made a comment like, “Oh, poor little baby”.
‘She then came back and asked the mother if she needed a hand.’
The mother had spent two minutes trying to soothe the baby but, with the help of the hostess, was quickly able to help her other children settle and relax the bub.
Mr Brubaker filmed the flight attendant bouncing the baby while the mother took a moment to breathe.

‘I thought it was a pretty wholesome moment,’ Mr Brubaker said.
‘It’s a bit of positivity and wholesomeness in a world that’s pretty crazy right now.’
The video was shared to TikTok where some social media users were worried the flight attendant would be reprimanded for the kind gesture.
‘Unfortunately, this’ll probably get her written up. Was not allowed to hold any passengers infants while working at (another airline),’ one wrote.
‘This video is gonna get her in massive trouble,’ another said.
One expressed concern the moment spent helping the mother meant the flight attendant wasn’t able to finish her pre-flight checks.
However, Mr Brubaker received a message from Virgin Australia praising the worker and thanking him for sharing the clip.
‘I tagged Virgin in the video and they wrote back saying they were glad I shared the special moment of their staff member,’ he said.

Some commenters were concerned the flight attendant (pictured) would get in trouble for the act while others praised her for going ‘above and beyond’ to help customers
‘I was glad because I read a few comments saying she might get in trouble or whatnot, but Virgin seemed happy with their staff member and everyone on board was more than happy too.
‘She’s done a great job.’
Hundreds of commenters under the video applauded the flight attendant for helping the mother, to the benefit of everyone on board the flight.
‘Bring back a time where mums had a village wherever they go,’ one wrote.
‘Give her a raise! What an absolute sweet soul,’ another said.
‘She went above and beyond to help not only one stressed customer but another upset little baby customer. That’s a job well done,’ another wrote.
‘Give this woman Australian of the year. What an amazing, selfless thing to do. It’s so stressful when your baby is crying on a plane,’ another said.
