Lined up and marching on the floor of Parliament while singing and chanting, the NDC MPs have not only claimed the Majority side but are also enjoying every moment of it.

This was shortly after the NPP MPs walked out, awaiting the Speaker of Parliament’s response to recent developments.

In a pensive mood, they were accompanied by their leader, Afenyo Markin, to address the media, insisting on their Majority stance before exiting.

In their speech, they stated they would not stoop so low as to engage with the NDC MPs, whom they accused of causing chaos in the house.

But in contrast, the NDC MPs have been hyperactive and enjoying the situation.

Notable figures like Ningo Prampram MP Sam George, South Dayi MP Rockson Dafeamekpor, and Madina MP Francis-Xavier Sosu were seen moving around the chamber, chanting their anthem and other songs.

Meanwhile, today’s Parliament session is expected to be interesting, as MPs from both the Majority and Minority factions are vying for the Majority seats.

The NDC MPs insist they are the Majority and will assume their place in the Majority section of the chamber.

This follows Speaker Alban Bagbin’s declaration of four seats as vacant, elevating the NDC from minority to majority status.

The NPP MPs, originally the Majority, are distressed by this development and have taken the matter to the Supreme Court, which has temporarily frozen the Speaker’s order. As it stands, the NPP MPs are permitted to continue their roles as the Majority until further notice.

Currently, both the NDC and NPP are claiming to be the Majority in Parliament.
