Black Stars midfielder, Kudus Mohammed, has opened up on how he feels about constant scrutiny from the media, insisting that pundits and commentators often make unfair judgments about him without truly knowing his character.

The Tottenham Hotspur star has, at times, been criticized by fans and the media for his style of play, particularly for holding onto the ball too long, a criticism that has followed him both at club and international level.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Kudus voiced his frustration at being discussed daily on television by people who have only seen him play briefly on the pitch.

“I’ve been talked about every day on TV by people who don’t even know me, they just watched me for maybe 90 minutes and then judge who I am or what I represent, which I personally don’t think is fair,” Kudus said.

The 25-year-old stressed that only those close to him, teammates, coaches, and family, can accurately speak about who he really is.

“The best people who can talk about you are those who spend most time with you, almost every single day. But that’s part of the work; as athletes, of course, we have to deal with that,” he added.

Since his high-profile move to Spurs in the summer of 2025, Kudus has been under intense scrutiny in both England and Ghana, with pundits closely analyzing his performances at club and international level.

Despite the pressure, he has emerged as one of the most consistent performers for Tottenham this season.
