Former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan has thrown his weight behind Kick Nation Sports Agency, describing the initiative as “something incredible” for Ghana’s football future.

Speaking at the official launch on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, Gyan stressed that Ghana’s rich football culture must be matched by deliberate efforts to develop hidden talent across the regions.

“We will count ourselves lucky because, whether people like it or not, Ghana is a football nation,” he said.

Highlighting the challenges faced by young players, Gyan noted that many lack the resources to be scouted and guided onto the professional stage.

“When you go to all the regions, there are a lot of talents that want to be discovered, but they don’t have the means. What Kick Nation has started is a great thing, and personally, I like to support great things,” he explained.

Gyan added that his decision to support Kick Nation followed careful consideration.

“After asking questions and seeing what has been put in place, I can say this is something incredible, and that is why we are here to support.”

The launch, held at Silicon House Productions in Accra on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, brought together football administrators, scouts, journalists, and several former Black Stars players, including Baffour Gyan, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, John Paintsil, and Fatau Dauda.

Kick Nation, spearheaded by CEO Wunnam Haruna, aims to identify, nurture, and prepare grassroots players for professional football.

Renowned agent Oliver Arthur also pledged his support but advised the management to trust their team and minimize external influence.
