The Member of Parliament for Twifo Atti-Morkwa in the Central Region, Theophilus Dominic VonDee, has clarified comments he made regarding a viral video showing an assistant headmaster of KNUST Senior High School fondling a female student.
Speaking to the press on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, VonDee said portions of his earlier remarks on Adom TV were taken out of context.
“Portions of the statement I made during the discussion were taken out of context and circulated, which suggested that I sided with the head tutor in the relationship he had with the student. Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to plead with all of you and with all Ghanaians who may be watching me now that if that video played by Adom TV caused any discomfort to anybody, I apologize for that comment. However, I never meant to side with the tutor,” he said.

The NDC MP had earlier suggested during a panel discussion on Adom TV on September 30, 2025, that the act captured in the viral video appeared consensual — remarks that drew widespread criticism.
Meanwhile, the Assistant Headmaster (Academic) of KNUST SHS, Charles Akwasi Ampadu, has been removed from office following the circulation of the video on social media.
