    The Vice President of Ghana, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, on September 29, 2025, paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

    The Vice President and the King of the Ashanti Kingdom held a closed-door meeting, where they discussed issues of national interest.

    She was accompanied by her Chief of Staff, Alex Percival Segbefia; Presidential Staffer and Special Aide, Professor Theresah Ennin; Policy Adviser (Economic), Professor Sharif Mahmud Khalid; Press Secretary, Maame Ama Pratt and other senior staff from her office.

    The delegation was joined by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, and the Mayor of Kumasi, Richard Boadi-Agyemang.

    The visit formed part of the Vice President’s one-day working tour of the Ashanti Region, during which she inspected key market projects.
