President John Dramani Mahama is expected to return home to Accra on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, after attending the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA80) in New York.
President Mahama and his delegation are expected to arrive around 18:00 hours at Kotoka International Airport, Accra, according to information from the Presidency.
During his address at UNGA80, the President delivered a powerful speech that resonated globally, touching on issues such as the need to reset the UN after 80 years of its existence, the Israel-Palestine conflict, the conflict in Sudan, the transatlantic slave trade and the payment of reparations by Western nations to Africa, and a call for the lifting of the blockade on Cuba.
