Gospel Ghanaian musician, Philipa Baafi, has recounted how she lost her parents at a very young age.

During an interview on Hitz FM, shared on X on September 29, 2025, Philipa Baafi stated that she lost her father while still in basic school, an experience she described as a spiritual attack by the devil intended to destroy her future.

“My father died in class six, and my mother passed on when I entered SHS 1. So had it not been the grace of God, I would not be here.

“They thought they had done something to jeopardize my future, but here I am now,” she said.

When asked by the host whether she believed the early demise of both parents was the doing of the Lord, the gospel musician firmly stated that it was not.

“The bible said that we will live for 100 and above, so the death of my parents was premature. I don’t even pray that it happens to anyone because that is not what the word says. Dying prematurely isn’t the doing of the lord,” she added.
