Sarkodie has apologised to his colleagues who could not perform at the Rapperholic Homecoming concert held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on September 27, 2025.

The show, which was billed with several supporting acts, saw thousands of fans turn up at the sports stadium.

However, not every artiste who was advertised made it onto the stage. Musicians such as Gyakie, Ypee, and a few others were unable to mount the stage due to what Sarkodie described as unforeseen backstage issues.

In an interview with YFM Kumasi, the rapper admitted that the situation was unfortunate and expressed regret over how things turned out for his colleagues who had come out to support him.

“This is the craziness that happened backstage that went out of hand. My sister wasn’t able to be there. I personally had to reach out right from the stage to call her. Because I can imagine her coming all the way just to come and support me, not because of anything. The fact that ‘my big brother is doing something, let me come and support.’ And then when you come, there will be a lot of things that happen backstage.

“A lot of emotions will run through you, especially because of how far she came from. Pretty sure she came with family that came to see her. Ypee wasn’t able to perform as well, big shouts to my boy. I know that he knows that I got him. It’s beyond this. Sorry to all these guys who weren’t able to grace the stage. I still thank them,” Sarkodie said.
