Wakaso is a former midfielder of the Black Stars
Former Ghana international, Mubarak Wakaso has taken fans down the memory lane by sharing a video of one of his most memorable goals in the Spanish La Liga.
The midfielder posted footage on his Facebook page of his opener for Espanyol in a thrilling 3-3 draw against Valencia on April 13, 2013.
Wakaso struck just before half-time, timing his run perfectly to meet a Sergio García cross with a firm header that gave Espanyol the lead.
It was a goal that underlined his energy and eye for key moments, as he outpaced his marker to plant the ball beyond the Valencia goalkeeper.

The encounter at the RCDE Stadium turned into a rollercoaster.
After Wakaso’s opener, Valencia clawed their way back into the contest, with goals from Sergio Canales and Jonas keeping the score at 2-2 after Wakaso had assisted Espanyol’s second.
Espanyol looked set to suffer a narrow defeat after Soldado put the visitors 3-2 ahead in stoppage time, only for García to snatch a dramatic equaliser.
More than a decade later, Wakaso has reminded fans of his adventurous spell in La Liga.
