Former Asante Kotoko captain, Joe Hendricks has been recently spotted showing flashes of his old self during a casual football game in the United States.

Hendricks caught the eye of onlookers with his brilliant positioning, strong tackles, and composure on the ball, qualities that once made him one of the most reliable defenders in the Ghana Premier League.

Bystanders quickly recognized that he was no ordinary player, as his experience and class set him apart from the rest.

The former Black Stars defender enjoyed a long career that began with Sekondi Eleven Wise before he joined Asante Kotoko in 1999.

He went on to captain the Porcupine Warriors, leading them through six memorable seasons before leaving in 2005 after the CAF Confederation Cup defeat to rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.

Hendricks later featured for Ashantigold SC and Israel’s Hapoel Rishon Le Zion, before winding down his career with All Blacks and Medeama SC between 2009 and 2012.

He also earned international recognition, making his debut for the Black Stars in 2002.

In 2023, a video of Hendricks revealed that he had taken on a new chapter in life as a truck driver in the United States, where he has since settle.
