Eleven Wonders succumbed to their first defeat of the campaign against visiting Heart of Lions on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.

Lions raced into a 2-0 first-half lead after a dominant display, thanks to goals from Atta Agyei and Chauncy Freeman.

Agyei broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute, and Freeman, two minutes later, was set up by Ishmael Addo to double their lead.

Kofi Asamoah handed the hosts a lifeline by pulling a goal back in the 69th minute.

Ishmael Addo ensured there was no comeback for the hosts by netting Lions’ third in the 86th minute.

Macaulley Kojo Kuma made it 4-1 in stoppage time to seal victory for Bashiru Hayford’s team.

This is a dream start for Lions, not only because of the scoreline but also because of how they outplayed and outclassed Wonders.

Heart of Lions return to Kpando to host Bechem United in their next match, while Eleven Wonders will take a short trip to face Hearts of Oak.
