Black Stars midfielder, Thomas Partey was greeted with hostility by Spurs supporters at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium in London.

Tottenham Hotspur kicked off their 2025/26 UEFA Champions League campaign at home against Villarreal, who featured former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey.

With 12 minutes remaining, Thomas Partey was introduced in the game, but fans at the stadium greeted his introduction with prolonged and loud boos that drew significant attention during the match.

Despite the hostile reception, Partey appeared unperturbed by the crowd’s reaction and gave his best on the pitch.

This follows his earlier appearance at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on August 5, 2025, where he is facing trial on five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.

The charges, which emerged while he was playing for London club Arsenal, were made public in the summer of 2025, which the player denied.

Thomas Partey is scheduled to reappear in court on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
