    Ghanaian athlete, Benjamin Azamati has failed to qualify for the semi finals of the men’s 100 metres at the 2025 World Athletics Championship in Tokyo, Japan.

    Benjamin Azamati finished 6th in Heat 5 and missed out on the top 3 automatic slot for a semi-final qualification.

    The Ghanaian clocked a time of 10.30 in Heat 5.

    Letsile Tebogo of Botswana, Andre De Grasse of Canada and American’s Courtney Lindsey qualified to the semi-finals from Heat 5 after securing the top 3 positions.

    Saminu qualifies for 100m semi-finals at World Athletics Championship

    The trio secured the top 3 positions in Heat 5 with a time finish of 10.07s, 10.16s and 10.19s respectively.

    Tebogo won the race in Heat 5, with De Grasse and Lindsey finishing second and third, respectively.
