Ghanaian gospel musician Celestina Awusi Deku has released a soul-stirring song titled “Dogbeda,” which means “Pray”.

In the track, released on August 30, 2025, Awusi as she is known in the gospel music circles lays special emphasis on the importance of prayer.

The mid-tempo, danceable tune encourages believers to trust in God and offer their prayers with the assurance that he is more than capable of providing answers and solutions to their supplications.

Drawing inspiration from the popular Matthew 7:7 scripture, “Dogbeda” is not just a call to prayer, it has a strong worship underpinning, laying emphasis on the Hallowed Name of God.

Awusi urges Christians to have unwavering faith in the Lord and to pray without ceasing, as instructed in 1 Thessalonians 5:17.

“Dogbeda,” a beautiful tri-lingual blend of Ewe, English and French, carries vibrant, danceable vibes that appeal to both young and old audiences.

In an interview with GhanaWeb, Awusi expressed hope that the song would touch lives and inspire countless Christians to deepen their trust in God.

She is confident that “Dogbeda” will draw people closer to God, fostering a sense of belief and confidence in His power.
