A funny family video has gone viral after a wife and her husband teamed up to prank her mum right in their living room.

The mum was sitting there, comfortably pressing her phone, when her daughter walked in and jokingly asked if anyone had seen her mum around.

Even though she was right in front of them, the mother kept responding in Yoruba, “Mo wa nibi” — which means “I’m here.”

To make the prank more dramatic, the wife called her husband to help, but instead of ending the act, he decided to raise the stakes.

He suggested they should go and check if her car was parked outside, which only deepened the wife’s fake panic. He even went as far as checking under the couch, pretending to look for her.

That was when the mother landed him a sharp back slap, which immediately made him “see” her. She then turned to her daughter and also playfully beat her, asking her how she could claim not to see her all this time.

The playful moment cracked viewers up, with many agreeing that the mum’s swift reaction was the highlight of the video.
