Leicester City striker Jordan Ayew has described his late match-winning goal against Southampton as a “special moment” after sealing a 3-2 comeback victory for his team on Saturday.

The Ghana forward struck in the 98th minute at St. Mary’s Stadium, completing a remarkable turnaround after Leicester trailed 2-0 at halftime.

Reflecting on the goal, Ayew credited his natural instincts for delivering in such a critical moment.

“It was my natural instincts. As Premier League players, we need to improvise in certain situations, and that’s what I did. Sometimes you work on it in training, and it doesn’t happen in the game, but this time, it worked,” he said.

Ayew, who joined Leicester City this summer, celebrated his first Premier League goal for the Foxes. “It was a special moment because it’s my first goal for the club in the league. I believe in myself, and I believe in my abilities. I know I can bring a lot to the team,” he added.

The victory marked a vital three points for Leicester City, with Ayew’s contribution reinforcing his potential as a key player for the club this season.
