Popular Nigerian rapper and actor, Falz, recently caused a stir on social media after posting about his “engagement,” which looked so convincing that many fans believed it. The post spread quickly, with several online in-laws already preparing for wedding bells.

However, it turned out to be a prank. Falz later released a video addressing the buzz, joking that people were comparing his story to that of the boy who cried wolf.

According to him, when he actually decides to get married, people might not care or take him seriously because of this stunt.

In his usual sarcastic tone, the rapper made fun of the assumption that even if he was truly getting married, it was funny for people to think they would automatically know about it or that he would make a grand announcement to the public.

Fans reacted with a mix of laughter and mock annoyance, with many saying it’s more bold of Falz to think they actually care. Others admitted they were genuinely excited at the thought of him settling down, only to find out it was all for jokes.
