A Rwandan High Priest and Founder of the Rwanda Cultural Psychotherapy, Muganga Rutangarwamabako has admonished Ghanaians not to jeopardise their piece in the run up to the elections, highlighting the need to resist imperialist influence and disunity to determine their elections outcome.

He encouraged Ghanaians to allow the spirit of their ancestors to help them fight together, move together to achieve their common interest but, not fight each other to disintegrate their country.

Speaking on Nyansa TV YouTube channel on 18th October, 2024, and offering advise to Ghanaians as the 2024 elections approaches, he pointed out that, it would be injurious for Ghanaians to allow imperialist to infiltrate their ranks in determining who leads their country. “Elect whoever you see to be capable and able to lead you to achieve your collective vision and development based on your culture”, Muganga advised.

According to him, this can be achieved with a sense of unity and not disunity, highlighting the negative consequences of disunity and cautioning Ghanaians against it. “Please abide by the spirit of your ancestors, and this is the spirit of unity. Be guided by this and don’t destroy yourselves. Fight together for your common good”, he stressed.

Again, he underscored that colonialist and imperialist have been infiltrating the ranks of many countries in Africa in shaping their political landscape and leadership. To him, these are what colonizers have been doing and still working against the interest of most African countries, admonishing Ghanaians to guard against such infiltration in the Ghanaian body politic.

Africa has a busy election calendar in 2024, with 19 countries slated for presidential or general elections. While some are done with their elections others are still yet to. Elections in Africa run the gamut from competitive multiparty elections to perfunctory electoral exercises. Two-thirds of these elections are packed into the last quarter of the year including Ghana slated for December 7, 2024.

Steming from this, the High Priest of Rwanda has cautioned all Africans, especially Ghanaians to be guided by the spirits of their land in choosing their leaders guarding against foreign infiltrations and manipulations.
