Dutch coach, Eric Ten Hag has been sacked by German Bundesliga giants, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Fabrizio Romano has reported.
According to Fabrizio Romano, an Italian journalist and transfer expert, the Dutchman was informed about the decision of the Board to let him go on the morning of Monday, September 1, 2025.
“Erik ten Hag has just been SACKED by Bayer Leverkusen. Decision made by the club’s hierarchy this morning and manager informed right now,” Fabrizio Romano posted on X as sighted by GhanaWeb Sports.
The former Manchester United manager who signed a two-year deal with Bayer Leverkusen on July 1, 2025, has been shown the exit door after playing just two games in the ongoing Bundesliga season.
Ten Hag has been sacked after failing to win any of his opening two games as the new Bayer Leverkusen manager.

He lost 2-1 in his first game to Hoffenheim and drew 3-3 with 10-man Werder Bremen at the Weserstadion on Saturday, August 30, 2025, despite going up twice in the game.
Eric Ten Hag was appointed as replacement for Xabi Alonso who left to join Real Madrid in the summer.
