    Popular American streamer IshowSpeed has revealed that he has family roots in Ghana, with some relatives living in the country.

    He mentioned that his uncle was once a traditional ruler in one of the Ghanaian tribes and reigned for a considerable period.

    “I have family in Ghana, that’s why. My uncle was a king in one of the tribes in Ghana,” the American YouTuber said when asked about why he wore the Black Stars jersey.

    Popular American streamer IShowSpeed spotted in Black Stars jersey

    IshowSpeed also hinted at plans to visit Ghana to connect with his roots and pursue a professional football contract to help enhance sports in the country.

    “When I go to Ghana, I will try to secure a professional contract in a football league. I will do my best,” he added.

    The renowned American streamer was recently spotted wearing a Black Stars jersey during one of his online shows.

    He rocked the yellow Black Stars jersey with a matching yellow cap, pulling off the outfit in stylish fashion.

    The video has won the hearts of many Ghanaians online, who praised him for showcasing the Black Stars jersey to his vast global audience.

    IshowSpeed, an internet sensation and die-hard fan of football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, has also been streaming football matches, particularly during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
