Kenpong Football Academy kicked off their European tour in spectacular fashion, securing a commanding 4-1 victory against the Under-18 team of Belgian club Club Brugge on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.

The dominant Kenpong side outclassed the reputable Club Brugge team, captivating coaches and spectators with their exceptional performance.

Despite an early setback in the 10th minute when they conceded a goal, Kenpong Football Academy displayed remarkable resilience.

Midfielder Richard Okyere restored parity in the 25th minute.

A resolute defensive effort, led by Musah Nuhu and Abrefa, ensured the teams went into halftime with a 1-1 scoreline.

Six minutes after the break, explosive winger Godfred Owusu doubled Kenpong’s lead.

Desmond Korletey and Emmanuel Atakora added goals in the 73rd and 82nd minutes, respectively, to seal the emphatic victory.

The match, part of the Kenpong Belgium Tour 2025, was attended by scouts from prominent European clubs, who were reportedly impressed by the Kenpong players’ performance.

The team’s commanding display was guided by Belgium-based Ghanaian coach Eric Asante and veteran Ghanaian coach J.E. Sarpong.

Also in attendance was the owner and financier of Kenpong Football Academy, Kennedy Agyapong (Kenpong), whose extensive network and resources made the tour possible.

Kenpong Football Academy now looks ahead to another highly anticipated match against the Under-18 team of KRC Genk on September 1, 2025.
