The Ghana National Gas Company’s maintenance team has successfully completed planned maintenance works at the Plant ahead of schedule.

The team has also handed over the plant to the Operational unit after completing the project, Richard Kirk Mensah, Head of Corporate Affairs told the Ghana News Agency.

Key maintenance works included: Servicing of Heat Medium System, Calibration of Safety Systems and Overhaul of Transmission Compressor.

The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition had estimated a 14-day timeline for completion. However, the maintenance and technical team achieved a significant milestone by finishing ahead of schedule.

Chief Executive Officer Judith Adjobah Blay praised the team’s dedication and teamwork. She congratulated them on their success, emphasizing that their hard work and collaboration were key factors in completing the project efficiently.

The plant is expected to stabilize and receive the expected volumes of gas in the remaining hours of the day.
