MzGee insists she is no troublemaker, nor did she leave TV3 because of envy or internal disputes. The Ghanaian media personality revealed that her exit from the station was driven by something far more unsettling: a prophecy that left her fearing for her life.

In a social media video, the broadcaster, born Gloria Akpene Nyarku, said she chose to walk away after hearing a prophecy that a television host would collapse and die while presenting a reality show.

“I resigned from TV3 because of a prophecy. And that prophecy said, ‘I see someone on television, hosting a reality show, and that person will fall and die.’ After receiving this prophecy, I decided to step down,” MzGee explained.

Though the prophecy was not delivered directly to her, she admitted it disturbed her deeply, especially because she was hosting Mentor at the time, a program that fit the prophecy’s description.

“For those of you who wondered why I resigned and even labeled me a troublemaker, the truth is I didn’t know where the death mentioned in the prophecy was going to come from. But the prophecy clearly said it would happen on a reality show. And if you know my career, you know I used to host Mentor and we were getting close to that time of the year,” she said.

MzGee added that the prophecy wasn’t her only warning sign. She described recurring dreams about death that convinced her the danger was real.

“Would I have ignored this prophecy, even though the man of God didn’t specifically say I should resign? Should I have gone ahead, stood on that stage, presented, and then fallen to my death? When I received the prophecy, my dreams were already warning me that something was wrong. That’s why I’m doing this video to say that yes, there are prophecies, but sometimes your own spirit also alerts you. Sometimes you even see it in your dreams. I kept dreaming of death over and over again,” she revealed.

She recalled how the visions became overwhelming, describing how she constantly felt death surrounding her.

“At one point, I kept asking myself is it that I’m seeing myself among people I already know who have died? Or is it because others kept saying they had seen me dead? The truth is, death was haunting me, that’s how serious it became. And then came this prophecy. I told myself, this man of God has touched on something real. He didn’t tell me to resign, but I chose to,” MzGee said.

Responding to critics who claimed her departure was out of jealousy, she argued that explaining her true reason back then would only have invited ridicule.

“So let me address those who claimed I resigned because I was jealous of a colleague. How could I have told anyone back then that I had received a prophecy and resigned because of it? People would have said, ‘This girl isn’t serious; she believes in prophets.’ And when nothing happened, the same people would mock me for believing. Yet, if it did happen, those same people would turn around and say, ‘She was warned, but she didn’t act on it,’” the media personality stated.
