The spokesperson for Kennedy Agyapong‘s 2026 presidential primaries campaign team, Kwasi Kwarteng, has responded to the latest survey conducted by Global Info Analytics.

The latest survey released by Global Info Analytics on August 21, 2025, placed Dr Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of all the other aspirants and placed Kennedy Agyapong in second position.

Giving a reaction to the survey on JoyNews on Friday, August 22, 2025, Kwasi Kwarteng indicated that, though he has reservations about the time frame the survey was conducted, the camp was not worried about it.

“If you look at the findings that are put out there, this work was done within the space of eight days, where people will even have concerns about the narrow time,” he stated.

Despite his concerns about the time frame, he indicated that the survey’s findings presented a good opportunity for his camp to reflect and improve as they prepare to go to the polls.

He said, “This is research work, and the findings put out by Mr Danquah is an opportunity and feedback just to improve the work that we are doing; we don’t want to be antagonistic.”

“For us in team Ken, we will take it as very good feedback; it is an invitation for us to improve on the things that we are doing,” he stressed.

The survey indicated that there will be a repeat of what happened at the last presidential primaries in 2023, where Kennedy Agyapong came second to then Vice President, Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia.

Dr Bawumia opens commanding lead in NPP race with 52% support – Poll

Though Dr Bawumia garnered 61.43% in 2023, the current survey placed him first with 52% support among NPP delegates ahead of the party’s presidential primary in January 2026.

According to the survey, Kennedy Agyapong will come second with 17% while Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, former General Secretary Kwabena Agyapong, Boakye Agyarko and Addai Nimo each recorded less than 1%.

The poll predicted that Dr Bryan Acheampong would secure a paltry 3% of the total votes.
