Former President John Agyekum Kufuor joined mourners at the Manhyia Palace on Thursday, August 21, 2025, for the one-week observance of the passing of the Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.
A video shared on Citi FM’s X page captured the former president’s arrival, showing him being welcomed to the solemn occasion.
The one-week observance was marked with traditional rites and attended by chiefs, royals, and mourners who paid their respects to the late Asantehemaa.
Nana Konadu Yiadom III, who was installed in 2017 following the death of her predecessor, Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II, was the elder sister of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and daughter of Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II.
Her death was officially announced by the Asantehene on August 11, 2025.
