Gospel musician Diana Asamoah has accused Frank Asiedu Bekoe, popularly known as “Protozoa,” the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Suhum in the Eastern Region, of faking a stammer for years.

According to her, during his time as a presidential staffer at the Jubilee House, Protozoa pretended to have a speech impediment, a fact she claims to have recently discovered during his campaign for the Suhum parliamentary seat.

Speaking in an interview on Angel TV, Diana Asamoah said, “Nobody stammers more than Protozoa, but when he became an MP, I realised he had been faking all this while. We lived with Protozoa at the Jubilee House, and when he was talking, he wouldn’t allow anyone to help him finish his sentences. So, when he said he wanted to contest for the MP position.

“I wondered how he would communicate. I didn’t know God works in mysterious ways; he had been deceiving us all along. It was when we went to Koforidua and I heard him speak fluently that I caught him. I told him he was fake.”

Diana Asamoah is widely known for her public support of the New Patriotic Party.

Over the years, she has been spotted on several NPP campaign platforms, openly endorsing the party’s presidential and parliamentary candidates.
