A Nigerian mum sparked conversation online after sharing her reaction to a shirt bearing the words “Hell Fire” that she had accidentally bought for her son.

In the clip, the woman @estherixhair displayed the T-shirt she bought for her child without paying close attention to the design.

It was only after getting home that she noticed the bold print on the shirt read “HELL FIRE” across the front.

She highlighted that she liked the shirt, paid for it, and brought it home without looking at the inscribed design on it.

The concerned mother was shocked by the wording on the shirt and decided to take action immediately.

She chose to turn the shirt into a cleaning rag, noting that it was inappropriate to gift the shirt to another person’s child since she wouldn’t be happy seeing it worn by anyone else.

“Am I being too dramatic?” she asked in a post that quickly gained attention and sparked debate among parents online.

Many speculated that the woman was being dishonest, as it is unusual to purchase a shirt without examining the design beforehand.

The post has gone viral, with netizens sharing similar experiences of turning down questionable designs on children’s clothing.

    Below are some comments,

@olapapaz It’s just a normal shirt that i’ve seen lots of pple wear it abroad. You can buy and wear. Me i cannot wear it sha 😁

@ivieee.o You are not dramatic!! That’s a demonic shirt

@sophiaangel_01 Tsk, carry this post go Facebook. How can you claim you didn’t notice the written part not even the design?😒
